Challenges / Solutions

This layout, was my first 4 column layout. The home page is really a group of three columns and a side bar. To use the same layout template for the inner pages all I needed to do was turn the main content container into two columns, adjust the widths and voilà 3 column layout. The different levels of navigation required for this design prepared me well for the implementation of even more navigational elements for the Applecore Rebrand. Well-thought out structural html and tight css came to the rescue when there were design and functionality changes.

Turn off the site's style sheet and the user is left with a beautifully structured document; the usual result with a standards-based layout. All visual/textual design elements (brand and tagline) keep their message clear in the body of the page through image replacement techniques, only content images remain in the body itself.
